This post is for an unschooling blog carnival hosted by Unschooling Voices.
I had to do this one and it will immediately be clear why. It's a challenge using images. How can I say no?
*Your favorite resource :: the internets baby!
*One field trip they loved and learned on :: They learned on them all, but going to London with Qacei was an extraordinarily cool event. And don't think that *you* can't make something like this happen. Check out how we did it here.*The game they love so much they don’t realize it is educational :: Again, the learning is everywhere. but a computer game they liked a lot that didn't feel teachy at all was The Logical Journey of the Zoombinis. So much logic and mathematical thinking in there.
*What you’ve “strewn” lately :: Poi and eventually fire dancing are the newest interests around here. Conor has whipped up a homemade version, but I think I'm going to splurge on the light up LED ones. Both kids are interested. That's new and very cool for us all.
*Everyday task where they pick up lots of info :: Just one? Again I shall be the broken record CD and state that the learning is everywhere, in all the different things they do. But if I'm going to pick one daily activity I'll say...the writing, blogging, commenting, reading, investigating, and interacting they do online.
* A resource you have always wanted to purchase for the children but keep putting off :: We've really been able to conjure up everything we've wanted or needed so far. One thing that's on the list for someday maybe, is getting to Japan. How cool would that be?
*What your kids think school is really like :: They prefer the life of an autodidact.
* Best place to unschool :: Wherever you go, there you are.
