Conor's New Tribe

The pile of shoes by my front door has grown this past week. What a beautiful site! I just love when the kids have friends over and everyone is happily talking, playing, laughing, goofing and Be*ing.

Conor has recently discovered a new tribe of friends through a combination of meetings at the library and homeschool get togethers. They really clicked last week and he's been having a ball hanging out with them almost non-stop ever since. They toured the town by foot and bus, went swimming, lit firecrackers, jumped on the trampoline, stargazed, watched movies, played Halo2 and had consecutive, group sleepovers at three different houses. Conor seems energized this summer in general and this new group seems to fit into his current view of life, the Universe and everything. He was so ready for this shift in activity and energy and here it is.
It's amazing how our own energy attracts what we need to us.

That's pretty cool. You know, that's when I found my "tribe" too, when I was about 17. Up until then I'd been pretty much a loner, with maybe one or two friends.
